The Story
Excalibur Solutions was founded to fix what most consultancy advice creates: plans that look excellent in a deck and fall apart in practice.
We started in relocation, where the gap between strategy and execution is most visible. Moving a studio, a lab, or an office requires more than a project plan. It requires someone who understands logistics, people, governance, and the operational reality of keeping an organisation running while it physically reorganises.
That work exposed a broader pattern. Organisations don't just need help moving. They need help governing their space, managing their facilities, bringing people through change, and meeting environmental obligations in environments where those functions have been left to grow organically. So we expanded from relocation into the full operational, workplace and environmental picture.

We don't sell frameworks. We solve problems.
Every engagement starts with understanding what's actually happening on the ground, not what the org chart says should be happening. We work alongside your teams, not above them. Recommendations come with implementation plans, cost estimates, and a clear statement of what we'll need from you to make them work.
We're direct about risk, cost, and feasibility. If something won't work, we'll tell you before you spend money finding out the hard way.
Founder
Ben Ashby founded Excalibur Solutions after years of leading complex operational and workplace transitions in practice. His experience spans enterprise-scale environments including Cisco, Netflix and GSK, studio relocation for Jagex, and space governance work with the Wellcome Sanger Institute. He built Excalibur to bring practitioner-level expertise to organisations that need change managed properly, not just managed.
